Safelist Mailers and Solo Ads
Safelist mailers and solo ads are relatively economical places where you can advertise the links for your lead capture pages for your programs. Since safelist mailers are membership sites, when you join a safelist mailer you agree to receive emails from the other members in exchange for you to send your emails to the membership. As such, you are NOT spamming because you have each other’s permission to send and receive emails.
Most safelist mailers are free to join and to use as a free member. However, you will find that there are considerable advantages to upgrading. Here are a few of the benefits of being an upgraded member. You can:
- Contact several times more prospects, several times more often.
- Contact a potentially better quality of prospects.
- Decrease your “marketing time” from hours to minutes because you don’t need to click for credits.
So, in the end, you can make substantially more money.
Each safelist mailer is a little different than the others. Look for comparison charts for the differences between joining as a free member and the various upgrade levels, so you can find ones that are better suited for YOUR needs.
The sites listed below are many of the safelist mailer and solo ad sites I currently use in my marketing. Which ones are better? That depends on a lot of factors.
- Does the subject of your ad attract the viewer’s attention? What works for one person may not work for the next.
- If your ad does get opened, does the text in the body entice them to click on your link to find out more about your program? Content can be very critical.
- Many emails sit in Inboxes for many days or even for weeks or months before being seen.
- Many emails are even deleted without ever being opened.
I personally receive over 4,000 to 5,000 emails every day; sometimes even more. There is no way I can even begin to read each of them.
I scan the subjects looking for keywords or phrases that get my attention.
I scan the text to get a general idea of what the program is all about.
If I am interested, I click on the link to join the program or get more info. If I am not interested, I delete the email.
Tips
Join just ONE safelist mailer at a time. Join it. Get it completely set up and working for you. THEN think about joining another one. Joining too many too fast could result in a lot of frustration on your part. You could easily go off to do other things and never get around to actually using the safelist. That would be a considerable waste of YOUR time and resources.
When you join most programs, you will be offered upgrades. Although it sounds nice, does it also sound good to your wallet? It might be better to try it out for a while as a FREE member, THEN decide if you want to upgrade. This won’t be the only time you can get a “good deal” on upgrades. Specials will be offered every now and again throughout the year, especially around holidays.
Work upgrades into your budget. Join programs as a free member at first, then upgrade in one or two each month. In the long run, it will save you time and money, but trying to do them too many, too fast can get really expensive.

After you get signed up for a few safelist mailers, you might need a few tools to help you read all of the emails and to click on the credit links in them to earn credits to send out your own emails.
